Shendish Manor

We are designing a new pavilion in the grounds of the Shendish Manor Hotel. This is a Grade ll listed building and the grounds are within the Metropolitan Green Belt.

The exciting, contemporary design responds to the woodland setting on the one side and the listed building on the other.

This new building does not seek to compete with the existing manorial-style hotel, but has its own strong design.

As the new building is set tight into the existing tree belt at the perimeter of the grounds, our inspirational design blends with the trees to minimise the development’s visual impact. It is designed as a pavilion with an organic tree-like lattice in front of a clear-glazed curtain wall, which will show the spaces within.

It will provide an additional 30 bedrooms for the hotel plus a large conference/function space and a self-contained leisure centre with swimming pool, gym, treatment rooms etc.
