Keble Court

This courtyard development of 72 assisted-living apartments offers first-class facilities and stunning spaces including café, lounge, hair and beauty salon, assisted spa and manicured gardens.

The new 3-storey building is fully wheelchair accessible.  The design includes visual references to the local architectural vernacular of brickwork, render, tiled roofs, dormer windows and weatherboarding. Balconies are provided for most of the upper floor apartments.

Designed as a masonary construction, but changed later in the design process to fusion light gauge steel.  This resulted in an overall  increase in sales area.

The south-facing internal courtyard allows sunlight into most of the dwellings and views across to the badger setts on the adjoining site. Sensory mixed planting will provide year-round interest for residents. A central feature tree with a circular wooden bench and up-lighting provide further interest as well as a community landmark and meeting point.

To the south of the courtyard, a semi-enclosed, walled allotment garden with shed is available for use by residents.
