Community Centre & Worship Hall
Tooley Foster completed a new build for Salvation Army with an Community Centre and Worship Hall in Chalk Farm, Camden, North London.
The new hall provides a Centre for worship in a multipurpose 120-seat main hall at ground floor level with additional multi-function rooms at first floor level. The front foyer also includes a café which will be open throughout the day.
The £1.4 million Centre features a barrel-vaulted steel frame for both the two-storey front section and the double-height main hall to the rear.
Extensive curtain walling to the front elevation enables the activities taking place within the building to be viewed from the main road and busy Underground Station opposite, maximising the impact of the new Centre and reinforcing its position as a new local landmark.
