67-68 Grosvenor Street
We were delighted to be asked to redesign a tired and run down set of offices in the prestigious area of Grosvenor Street, London. Our client, Grosvenor, had asked for a complete rethink of the internal spaces and to add light and warmth into the building whilst retaining, and possibly, highlighting many of the period features and charm.
Using a natural, almost white colour scheme to the walls, we created a light and airy interior; warmth was added with earthy tones in the carpets and tiles selected, along with contemporary dark wood furniture and artwork that contrasted the elaborate period features of the building and allowed such features to speak for themselves.
In the areas where there were no period features, we followed the existing approach with the suspended ceilings; as the original ceilings were too badly damaged to be renovated without huge expense, we specified a modern metal one. We were however able to renovate the original sash windows, which we then fitted with blinds to allow light to flood the interior making the rooms feel fresh and modern.
The client did not recognise the interior and was delighted with the outcome!
