St Edith's Court Residential Care Home is Anchor Trust’s second Extra Care Home.
The site was obtained from St Edith’s Convent after which the new Home has been named. Some features from the original building have been rescued and integrated into the new Home such as stained glass panels - which have been incorporated into the entrance porch - and covered garden seating, creating decorative links with the previous use of the land.
Unusual features in the studios are small kitchens, required by the Housing Corporation as a condition of funding.
A high quality building has been achieved with an attractive exterior and landscaped gardens and a variety of colourful interiors. All combine to make St Edith’s Court enjoyable for residents and staff.
