The new mathematics teaching block is 2 storeys high and provides 10 classrooms to replace the existing block. The building also includes a maths office, medical room, toilets and a pupils service area.
The elevations complement the new Sports Hall, also recently completed, with bands of low level brickwork, render above and glazing. These give a visual appearance in keeping with the existing buildings and are low maintenance and robust for a school environment. The maths office is clad in cedar planks.
The new teaching block is located in the centre of the campus and intentionally closes off the end of the existing hard play area to form a courtyard, reflecting the existing smaller courtyards in the original building.
