This development replaces a tired and run-down Church with a new Church and Health Centre.
The design has addressed the distinctly different roles of the buildings and retained their individuality.
The Church provides space for community use and Christian worship and includes a coffee bar to service the needs of those using the Health Centre and the community facilities.
The Health Centre encompasses 4 floors for 12 Consulting GPs.
The Luton Primary Care Trust were consulted in developing the Health Centre, and SSAFA (Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Families Association) are the health providers. This is the first time SSAFA have taken on a Health Centre in order to provide health care to a civilian population.
The public areas, in both buildings, are all fully accessible to disabled and wheelchair users.
