Unit 7 forms part of a mixed BI/Residential development in Kew. 

Units 1 - 6 and the residential block were designed up to planning stage by other architects and developed by Bell Projects, who employed us as the D&B architects.

During the course of the main contract we were asked by the client to design Unit 7 on the small area of site remaining between Unit 6 and the railway arch.

The client’s brief was to maximise the use of the space and provide a landmark building to mask the flank wall of Unit 6.  Views into the site from the High Road had to be maintained to meet planning requirements; this was achieved by creating a terrace on the link section of the building.

The client retained this building on completion for his own use as future offices or possibly as exhibition space for local artists.
