These four historic buildings in a conservation area have been comprehensively refurbished and extended in order to provide 23 high quality apartments in a combination of flats and maisonettes. These buildings are part of a larger contract comprising a total of 34 flats.
Our proposals for 24-26 Gilbert Street combined three Edwardian houses, with the entrance and main core in the central building. The existing main stair has been retained and extended and a new lift and escape stair inserted. Three flats on each floor wrap around and are accessed from the main core.
27 Gilbert Street, which is a Grade II listed 18th century building, has been extended by the addition of a new mansard roof. A 2-bedroom maisonette occupies the ground and lower ground floors, and upper floors consist of 1-bedroom flats.
