This football pavilion in Blackheath was commissioned by the London Playing Fields Society and has been designed as a dedicated ‘Mini-Soccer Centre’ for children’s football. The Society also encourages disabled participation and girls’ football.
The pavilion accommodates changing rooms for players and officials, a kitchen and function room.
Access is gained through a double height reception area that includes a semi-circular enclosure to the main stair.
The pavilion provides views across the entire playing field from an external balcony at first floor level. Viewing is also available from the adjacent function room provided for coaching courses.
The pavilion was opened by HRH the Duke of Gloucester.
