Deane House is an example of a late 19th century industrial building which had over the years been subjected to a number of alterations to the building fabric.
TFP have refurbished and modernised this period building, set over 5 floors, to provide a contemporary modern office building.
The refurbishment aimed to retain the existing ‘industrial’ feel by use of appropriate materials, fixtures and fittings and enhancing retained features such as the exposed steel columns, fair face brickwork and the steel staircases.
All structural defects throughout the building were remedied and new services installed.
The refurbishment fully addressed the access issues into and around the building, with level entry through the front door, ramped access to the lift landing, new Part M compliant lift installations and a disabled WC compartment at each level. These measures were complemented by suitable signage and lighting.
