A new single office building has been created by combining two smaller buildings into one. No.74 Grosvenor Street, a Grade II listed building, has been retained and refurbished, while 75 Grosvenor Street has been demolished and rebuilt behind its existing façade.
The new building has been created by the incorporation of a new core and five floors of office accommodation.
The interface between the listed elements of the building and the modern space is made by a new ‘glazed slot’, including an atrium, which provides natural light to the rear of the building by means of continuous curtain walling at each end and a curved glass roof above.
Internally, the listed elements of the building have been reinstated to their original form while the new accommodation provides modern efficient space in a complementary yet contemporary style.
The building is fully air-conditioned.
