Sustainable Design

Sustainable Design

BREEAM and Code for Sustainable Homes assessments are frequently required by planners and funding organisations in order to deliver warm, comfortable environments with minimal environmental impact. In addition to energy use, these standards also assess site ecology, water use, flood prevention, building management, health, pollution prevention, waste, and materials.

Our Professional Development Programme includes updates of sustainable technologies for all technical staff. We have a thorough knowledge of The Code for Sustainable Homes and BREEAM ratings.

Peter Ranken, our Senior Associate responsible for Sustainable Design has an MSc in Environmental Design & Engineering. As a BREEAM Accredited Professional, and a Certified Passivhaus Designer he can advise on effective approaches to sustainable design, particularly at early design stages where cost effective solutions can be incorporated.
